Hovering above the Moskva River and the "Zaryadye" park area without any supports

Due to its design in the shape of an elongated letter "V", the bridge creates the impression of "floating" in the air

This landmark location in the park is popular among tourists and locals, offering a panoramic view of the Kremlin, the high-rise building on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment, Kitai-Gorod, and the historic center of Moscow. The bridge is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city and a symbol of modern engineering

FEATURES OF THIS CONSTRUCTION METHOD

One of the most challenging tasks was the construction of a 69-
meter-long cantilever span extending over the Moskvoretskaya
Embankment and the Moscow River

Additional client requirements made the process even more complex, with a key condition being the prohibition of embankment closures throughout the entire construction period
To address this challenge, it was proposed to construct the span structure within a special temporary truss, which enabled construction without closing the embankment

The method fully justified itself, met the customer’s requirements and ensured the safe execution of installation and construction work.

Separate PPRs were also developed for the installation and dismantling of temporary trusses and supporting pylons, since the sequences of these processes differed significantly.

The load-bearing part of the structure is prestressed reinforced concrete. The necessary strength was provided by using built-in cables (ropes), the total length of which is 4500 m
