FEATURES OF THE CANTILEVER CONCRETING METHOD

MY ROLE AT THIS SITE

My role in this project involved the design, manufacturing, installation, and training of personnel in the operation of a specialized self-climbing formwork system for concreting bridge piers with a constant crosssection throughout their height. The pier dimensions are 8.2 × 3.5 m

Bridge piers No. 7 and No. 8 before the installation of the self-climbing hydraulic formwork

Up to a height of 27–30 m, climbing formwork was used, while the remaining sections (up to 58–60 m) will be concreted with the self climbing hydraulic formwork

Installation of a transition element on a 100-ton horizontal jack

The jacks secure the formwork to the bridge pier and are equipped with a safety nut for reliability

Pre-assembly of the first and second tiers at the factory includes full installation of all elements and placement of 100-ton horizontal hydraulic jacks into designated slots
Pre-assembly of the third tier, consisting of two C-shaped halves and connecting elements, including 100-ton horizontal hydraulic jacks
